The Best of the Best of The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear
By Dina Hashem
At Saturday's rally, attendees had very specific ideas about what sanity means to them, which were displayed in some sane, and some not-so-sane, signs. Surfacing everywhere are photo galleries of these creative methods of sanity-restoring and/or fear-mongering. So much irony, so little time to look through it all instead of doing something lame! But luckily, The Daily Beast has reported on the "7 Best Moments from the Rally," which include the awarding of the Medal of Fear to a 7-year-old girl, and also to Mark Zuckerberg.
If you need another reason to be utterly convinced of the badass-ness of Stephen Colbert, check out photo four in this gallery of awesome. He made Ozzy confused — that guy bit the head off of a bat. (Also worth noting is the drummer’s priceless expression).
Though rally goers found hilariously creative forms of expression, their concerns were anything but a joke. Some attendees reinforced the rally's overall message of tolerance with signs voicing the LGBT and Islamic communities, among others.
In case you missed it, read a transcript of Jon Stewart’s closing remarks, and also check out an interview with a bunch of bananas at the rally. And tell us your favorite rally moment, unless you want to end up like this guy.

Sanity and/or Fear Conquer the World
Over 200,000 people turned up on the National Mall for Saturday's Rally, but the sanity and/or fear didn't stop there. Thousands of people gathered together for satellite rallies in their hometowns and left the evidence all over the Internet.
Seattle, WA
It was a rainy day, but that didn't stop the residents of Seattle from standing up for sanity. According to organizers, roughly 6,000 people — including Representative Jim McDermott — convened at Westlake Park to speak, carry signs and watch the Rally on television.

Conservatives Enraged by Rally-Goers' Clever Signs
Uh oh! Red State has apparently gotten a hold of some apparently damning video from this weekend's rally that proves conclusively just how jerky us liberal jerks actually are. Yikes!
1. Not even close to all Democrats are twerps, but every single twerp in this video is a Democrat.
2. Said twerps hate you, and want you to die in a fire.
3. If you vote on Tuesday, they’ll hate you even more.
I'm actually kind of afraid to watch this video! What dark liberal rites did they catch being performed? What kind of horrors hidden away within our souls have been been laid bare before the world?
OMG! Can you believe it?! Those signs! They're so clever and smug! One might even go so far as to call them cleverly smug! (Would "smugly clever" be taking it too far? I don't want to descend to childish name-calling.)
How dare those liberal smugmongers attend an apolitical rally carrying cleverly smug signs that they thought up using their cleverly smug brains?!

How the Rally Looked from Space!
by Dina Hashem
If you didn’t attend the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on Saturday, SHAME ON YOU!
But if you didn’t attend because you were abducted by aliens summoned by Christine O’Donnell during a mischief night séance party, then you’re probably heavily medicated, but more importantly you enjoyed this awesome view of the rally…
Now, that's a turnout! (I'm talking to you, Glenn Beck.)
