Rick Santorum Really Wants to Speak at RNC
Do you remember any of that bad blood between Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney? Really?! Cause I don't. When did that "worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama" thing even happen, anyway? Like, a million years ago? As far as I'm concerned, such attacks might as well be little bits of magnetic dust that have long ago been shook up and left to settle into a clean blank canvas.Just look at how much Rick Santorum now all of a sudden loves Mitt Romney…
Rick Santorum is organizing an event at this month's Republican National Convention to rally conservatives in support of presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney, a key Santorum aide has told The Hill.
But Santorum has not yet received any promise from the Romney team, even in private, that he will be asked to deliver an address from the podium in Tampa.
The former Pennsylvania senator’s long-time senior strategist, John Brabender, warned that conservatives would be "quite disturbed" if they felt that Santorum was not accorded the prominence they believe he deserves at the quadrennial gathering.
What?! How can they even consider not asking hard-nosed vehemently anti-gay to get up in front of America and remind independent and swing voters of just how crazy the Republican platform can be?!
I mean, seriously, what's there for Romney to lose?
.
Update: The Romney campaign has wisely decided to hitch its wagon to Rick Santorum's star.

Stephen Colbert on Chick-fil-A's Anti-Gay Marriage Stance
"No surprise that Chick-fil-A supports traditional marriage, unlike KFC's Double Down. Two chicken breasts rubbing up against each other? That is nothing but a lesbian fantasy snack." – Stephen Colbert

Tweet Roundup: Chick-fil-A Fried for Gay Marriage Stance
Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy is in hot oil after a recent interview with Baptist Press. Surprisingly, everyone was surprised that a person being interviewed by Baptist Press had this to say about the definition of marriage…
"I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say 'we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage' and I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."
If gay marriage invites God's judgement, Cathy's stance invited the even more wrathful judgement of gay marriage proponents, including Boston mayor Tom Menino and the Muppets. That, in turn, invited Rick Santorum to tweet about being pro-chicken. Then Chick-fil-A trolled their own Facebook page.
Now what was an invite-only judgement party is raging out of control in that free speech circle of hell we call Twitter. Here are the best of the worst and worst of the best…
