Mitt Romney Leads Other Candidates by More Than 3 to 1 in New Hampshire Poll
It's still much much too early to take these polls with anything less than a medium-sized pile of salt, but, these results are somewhat startling…Thirty-two percent of New Hampshire's Republican voters said they would support Romney in next year's first-in-the-nation primary, according to a CNN/WMUR poll conducted through last weekend.
That puts Romney well ahead of the poll's second place finisher, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), whom 9 percent of New Hampshire Republicans said they would support in the primary.
Six percent each said they would support former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R). Five percent said they would support former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R).
What that means is that Mitt Romney has more support at this point in New Hampshire than his next four competitors combined.
Like, if you were to genetically create a four-headed Paul-Gingrich-Giuliani-Palin hydra in your dark arts laboratory and teach it to say that Medicare is evil and set it loose on the Granite State, it would still be less popular than the one-headed Romney.
Though, it would probably get a really sweet time slot on Fox News. Maybe the one Glenn Beck in vacating. (Which would be ironic, because I think it would fulfill one of his prophesies.)

Rudy Giuliani Is Putting the 9 and 11 Back in 2012
The 2012 primaries just keep getting better and better with each passing headline, don't they? The former New York City mayor, whose 2008 presidential campaign flopped, is said to be confident about his chances and is huddling with his advisers and planning to make visits to key states as he weighs a decision, The New York Post reports.
Giuliani "thinks the Republican race will be populated with far-right candidates like Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee, and there’s opportunity for a moderate candidate with a background in national security," a source told the paper…
Asked about the Post report this morning, Giuliani said "of course I keep in the back of my mind" the possibility of running again and indicated he is considering an early visit to [New Hampshire].
First of all, to just state the obvious, standing on top of a pile of rubble and making soothingly patriotic noises come out of your head doesn't quite count as a "background in national security."
Does Giuliani bring anything new to the table this time around? He's still the guy who happened to be in change of New York City while it suffered the largest terrorist attack in national history — which is not nothing — but that's now four years farther down the memory hole.
And it's questionable whether he's better remembered for that or for turning the phrase "9/11" into a punchline. When kids looks at Rudy Giuliani and say, "Look, it's the 9/11 guy," they don't mean, "Look, it's the guy who guided our country's cultural center through its greatest crisis of faith in recent memory." I'm pretty sure they mean, "Look, it's the 9/11 clown! Say '9/11!' Yay!!!"

The Daily Show's Best 2012 GOP Contender Moments
Obviously, we'd all prefer some kind of reality in which we could throw all of these fine politicians into a giant blender — with some orange juice and some ice and maybe a dash of sugar — and mix them all up into one super smooth U.S. President. But the technology to do that probably won't be within our grasp by 2012, so we're all just going to have to think really hard and try to choose just one…

The Colbert Report's Best 2012 GOP Contender Moments
Unfortunately, all of these phenomenal American heroes cannot be elected president in 2012, so we, as a nation, will have to choose which one will have the honor of shaming Barack Obama out of office and shipping him back to his native Kenyistan. Hopefully, this collection of clips will come in handy as we face the hardest decision of our lives…

Jon Stewart Ties Rupert Murdoch to Terrorism
On last night's Daily Show, in response to flimsy attempts by the Fox News gang to link the Imam behind the so-called Ground Zero Mosque to terrorism, Jon Stewart used the same tactics to connect Rupert Murdoch to Osama bin Laden. Meanwhile, bin Laden was in Fahrenheit 9/11 with Michael Moore, who was in Canadian Bacon with John Candy, who was in JFK with Kevin Bacon!
