Exclusive Extended Daily Show Interview with Condoleezza Rice
"I don't think that there's any chance that an Arab Spring flourishes in Iraq. An Arab Spring in Iraq looks like Syria, but much much worse. Because, unlike Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein had a massive army, Saddam Hussein had put 400 thousand people in mass graves, he used chemical weapons before. So, I think a very different set of circumstances." — Condoleezza Rice

Vacation, all [Jon] ever wanted. Vacation, [Jon is] happy to get away. But catching up with all the work can be a hassle. There are papers to be filed in the paper filing system, staples to be put into… stapling filing systems. Listen, I clearly don't know what normal people do in offices. The point is, it's no different for Jon Stewart returning to The Daily Show. The news never stops, even during their holidays and breaks, and some politicians have even taken advantage of that fact.
Case in point, Sarah Palin resigned as the Governor of Alaska on July 3rd to avoid the media coverage. And everyone was able to retain all their respect and admiration for her as a result and no one mentioned it ever again. Or the opposite.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Justification for Iraq War Provided by Guy Who Knows Really Good Way to Airport
Good news for anyone who was afraid that the United States and the United Kingdom entered into the war in Iraq based upon intelligence from a source that was somewhat less than sound.Turns out we learned everything we needed to know from some cab driver guy…
An Iraqi taxi driver may have been the source of the discredited claim that Saddam Hussein could unleash weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes, a Tory MP claimed today.
Adam Holloway, a defence specialist, said MI6 obtained information indirectly from a taxi driver who had overheard two Iraqi military commanders talking about Saddam's weapons.
The 45-minute claim was a key feature of the dossier about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction that was released by Tony Blair in September 2002. Blair published the information to bolster public support for war.
Man, cab drivers really are just so full of information. Like, the one I had the other night, he knew everything that was going to happen to my soul after I die unless I renounce my evil iPod-listening-to ways. You'd be surpised at how detailed his information was.
Is there anything we can't learn from these wise men who drive amongst us?
