The Obama Campaign kindly requests that you take the president's manners into account when you remember last week's debate performance, if you please. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding. Is there anything they can get you? Perhaps a glass of water? Maybe you'd like them to massage your feet while you read this…
"I think it’s fair to say I was just too polite," the president said when asked about his first debate performance during an interview on the Tom Joyner radio show. "The good news is, is that’s just the first one."
Obama assured Joyner: "I think it’s fair to say that we will see a little more activity at the next [debate]," without getting any more specific about what kind of activity he meant.
My goodness, that's awfully considerate of President Obama warn us in advance. He knows his supporters have delicate dispositions when it comes to activity. If he were to make a sudden motion with his arm while detailing Mitt Romney's contradictory positions, why, some folks might have to call Gerta over with the smelling salts!
Go ahead and take the high road, Mr. President. Mitt Romney's going to take the low road, and he may get to the White House before you.
