Jon Stewart Rips Apart Tucker Carlson Yet Again
It's been almost five years since Jon Stewart's famous take-down of Tucker Carlson (and to a lesser extent Paul Begala) on CNN's Crossfire, and many might say Carlson hasn't changed a bit. Well, that's just not fair. As you can see at the 5:12 mark in this clip from last night's Daily Show, Carlson has transformed from a smug, disingenuous, incurious bow-tie-clad buffoon into a smug, disingenuous, incurious, neck-tie-clad buffoon.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Tucker Carlson Mad About Jon Stewart, Loss of Attention
If brilliantly hilarious transparent attempts at relevancy was ice cream, Tucker Carlson's attack on Jon Stewart from yesterday's Reliable Sources would be Triple Chocolate Chocolate Chip with Chocolate Diamonds and Extra Million Dollar Bills. Here's just one small spoonful…
CARLSON: No, I think Jon Stewart is dishonest. And by the way, I also think he's a sacred cow. There's nobody who has the huevos to attacks Jon Stewart because he's too popular. The press sucks up to him like I've never seen — it's like Oprah. Jon Stewart, all the kids watch Jon Stewart. He's brilliant. I would like to see somebody have the stones to come out and say, Jon Stewart's kind of a pompous jerk, actually.
ZURAWIK: But he's not. That's why people aren't saying it.
CARLSON: But he is!
Here's the full transcript. But be careful. Too much will make your brain morbidly obese.

Mitt Romney Launches 2012 Campaign
Mitt Romney has always been a man of restraint. As a Mormon, he is required to abstain from alcohol, nicotine and caffeine. He appears to have never had an affair. And when dying his hair, he's always had the good sense to stop just above his temples. Now Mitt can add another point to his "restraint" column. He waited nearly 16 hours to begin his 2012 presidential campaign.
By midday Wednesday, the AP was reporting that Romney had restarted his political action committee. Meanwhile, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson writes that Romney "is laying the groundwork for 2012," and some either highly zealous or highly sarcastic fans have launched a Mitt '12 website.
Romney's half-day of restraint shines when you compare him to Sarah Palin, who went "rogue" in the waning days of the campaign. And it certainly trumps the behavior of that guy who spent $42 million in the GOP primary and lied about his father marching with Martin Luther King.
Oh wait. That was Romney.
