  • Judging Obama's America with Fox News Logic

Aired on Fox & Friends, the above graphic claimed that the "real unemployment rate" had increased from 7.8% in 2009 to 14.7% today. Unfortunately, they used two different statistical measures to arrive at the conclusion that President Obama's Sharia Socialism is destroying America. The 7.8% figure is the official unemployment rate, while the 14.7% figure is an alternate measure of labor utilization that includes workers employed part-time who want full-time work and "discouraged workers." It's like comparing apples and oranges, or a news organization to Fox News.

But mostly, I'm outraged Fox hasn't carried this logic to its natural conclusion in order to show the full extent of the Obama disaster…

  • Jobs Report Is Great if You Love Hobo Tears

The Energy Department's Steven Chu had better include hobo tears as part of America's "all of the above" energy strategy, because according to the latest data, they are our main renewable resource.

The non-farm payroll report, which President Obama had seen before last night's acceptance speech at the DNC, had been embargoed from the public until 8:30 this morning. Payroll increased by 96,000, well below analysts' expectations and though the unemployment rate dropped from 8.3% to 8.1%, this was due to people dropping out of the labor force. At this point, instead of an embargo, President Obama will be calling for sanctions on the Bureau of Labor Statistics until these numbers improve.

Incidentally, while private payrolls grew slightly, the government shed 7,000 jobs; another surprise installment of Sharia Socialism.

  • 648,000 Government Jobs Lost Since Barack Obama Imposed Socialism

"The Friday job report confirms all my preconceived notions about the way government and the economy interact and proves that my political party has been right all along," said every single politically conscious news junkie this morning when the Department of Labor announced that nonfarm payrolls increased 163,000 last month even as the unemployment rate rose to 8.3%.

From Mitt Romney came news that a .1% uptick in the unemployment rate represented "a hammer blow to struggling middle-class families." The White House said the jobs report "provides further evidence that the U.S. economy is continuing to recover." And Newt Gingrich  probably pointed out that the unemployment rate would be twice as high if poor children, who should be working as janitors, were included in the Bureau of Labor Statistics figures.

As it happens, this morning's job report also confirms my preconceived notion that Obama is the worst socialist president, ever.  As seen on the FRED graph, public sector employment steadily rose during the George W. Bush administration. But since Barack Obama imposed his Kenyan anti-colonialist thinking on the U.S. economy, 648,000 public jobs (i.e., the sum of state, local, and federal employment) have been eliminated. Were it not for a 9,000 job reduction in government employment, payrolls would have increased by 172,000 positions last month.

Future generations are probably going to wonder how a Sharia socialist presided over the lowest level of public-sector employment in over 30 years, but it will be difficult to explain this to them with no teachers left.

  • Obama's Decision to Destroy Economy Could Be Problematic in Fall

For reasons that continue to perplex an ailing nation, President Obama steadfastly refuses to take advice from political strategists and economists alike, and just fix the economy already!

Really! What is this guy thinking?! It's almost as if he wants to lose in November

Fresh evidence of a significantly slowing U.S. economy Friday posed new headaches for President Barack Obama’s re-election bid… The economy grew at an annual rate of 1.5 percent in second quarter compared to a 2 percent rate in the first quarter of 2012, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis reported on Friday.

And the report offered little hope for a dramatic uptick in the third quarter — a number that will be released just five weeks before the Nov. 6 election.

"Nobody is going to be really happy with the economy going into the end of the year," said Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics.

Oh, I don't know about that. I can think of a number of people who'll be happy. Thrilled, even.

  • Congressional Typo or Chilling Peek into Dystopian Future?

Just how bad is the economy going to sink before it starts to get better? Some people say we'll be on our way back to normalcy soon.

Others, including certain pencil pushers in the U.S. House of Representatives, seem to have slightly less optimistic expectations

House Republicans are expected to pass H.R. 4078, the Red Tape Reduction and Small Business Job Creation Act, on Thursday. The first part of the bill is aimed at only allowing new regulations once the unemployment rate falls to 6 percent or lower.

But as written, the bill says the reverse — that new rules could only be issued once the employment rate is 6 percent or lower, or in other words, when the unemployment rate is 94 percent or higher

"[A]ll we've got is a minor clerical error in the committee print and it is our desire to fix it by unanimous consent," said Doug Andres, a GOP staffer on the House Rules Committee. "We hope the Democrats will cooperate."

Oh, right. It's "a minor clerical error." Sure, I'll totally accept that at face value. Just a simple little harmless typo. No un- where an un- should be. Right. Of course.

Obviously, there's no reason to suppose that members of Congress are making provisions for what they are fully expecting to be a nightmare scape of mass unemployment, rioting, violence, cannibalism and possibly zoophilia. What do they know?! And what are these "new rules" and "regulations"? Do they involve means for determining who is human and who is not? Do they include the proper procedures for removing a human heart for the purpose of ritualistic sacrifice? Will we have easily drawn out instructions for determining who gets to be a war lord and who gets to be a protein source?

I just really hope that the Democrats will cooperate fully in getting this all through Congress in time. And that the President gets a chance to sign it into law while he still has his birth hand.
