Michigan Cops and Firefighters Refused "Right to Work"
This afternoon the Michigan House of Representatives passed two separate "right-to-work" measures covering workers in the private and public sectors, setting the stage for final passage sometime next week.
A fun game for Michigan residents who may be confused by the phrase "right-to-work":
1. If you're unemployed or working part-time, approach Governor Rick Snyder and ask for a job. Claim you're just exercising the right to work. Better yet, walk in to any office you fancy. Do your research. Pick one that has good coffee, not one with a stupid Flavia machine.
2. If anyone calls security, tell them the legislature passed a right-to-work law and you're only following the rules.
3. If that strategy somehow fails, it may be because right-to-work bills are the Grape-Nuts of public policy: they contain neither rights nor work.

Conservatives Blame Obama for Taking Away Twinkies
On hearing the news that Hostess Brands Inc., the maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread, is shutting down operations — ostensibly due to an inability to resolve a bakers' strike — many Americans waxed nostalgic about pastries they hadn't eaten in years. Which may hint at the real reason why the business went down.
But more than a few Americans are directing their ire at something other than the free market…

Mitt Romney Losing the "His Own Trash Guy" Demographic [VIDEO]
Wow! This has got to be a crushing blow for the Romney campaign. Just after learning that the usually-Republican "waitress moms" were leaning toward Obama this time around, we're now finding out — via an ad from the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees — that Romney is also losing the just-as-coveted "that one sanitation worker guy who picks up my refuse I think" vote.
Devastating…
Makes you wonder what other contingents of non-Romney voters Democrats will triumphantly point to as the election nears. The "people who met Romney at a party one time" demographic? The "guy behind the counter at Culver's but not the one who actually fulfills Romney's order" demographic? The "other person in traffic with Romney" demographic?
I sure hope not. I don't know if his campaign could withstand such a loss.
