Jon Stewart on the Motivational Qualities of "The Town"
I'm assuming Deliverance wasn't available at Rep. Kevin McCarthy's DVD rental place…

Stephen Colbert on the GOP's Hilarious Debt Ceiling Humor Joke
You know, for a little while, I was actually worried that this debt ceiling debate might actually lead to another huge economic crash.
Now I'm feeling a lot more positive about it…

Why Is Everyone Making a Big Deal About John Boehner Crying?
Okay, so the guy got a little weepy during his speech after learning that he would be the next Speaker of the House. It was an emotional moment. The guy obviously really cares about his country. He obviously has real convictions.
Just look at the earnestness in his face when he starts breaking into tears…
Whoops! My mistake. That wasn't John Boehner from two days ago, during election returns, getting teary-eyed while celebrating his party's regained control of the House. That was John Boehner from two years ago, during the Bush presidency, getting teary-eyed while begging his fellow congresspeople to vote for the Wall Street bailout that he just spent the past two years blaming on Barack Obama.
I'm so sorry. I won't let this happen again.

Jon Stewart's Extended Interview with Rep. Eric Cantor
On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart sat down for an engaging chat with Republican Congressman Eric Cantor of Virginia. The interview ended up going way over, but you can watch it in its entirety here. Believe it or not, by the end, it really seems like these guys made some progress. Cantor even admits that the political discourse in Washington is hyperbolic, which is impressive when you consider what an orphan-eating Hitler-devil he is.
Parts two and three can be found below.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

Jon Stewart Discovers Obama's Kryptonite
On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart discussed President Obama's recent Wall Street town hall meeting, particularly focusing on a one-time supporter of the POTUS who is struggling to maintain her enthusiasm. A CFO, a mother, a veteran and credit-card-less, Jon deemed the woman "Obama's kryptonite." Fortunately, she's since been sealed in lead, so unless she was red kryptonite, The President should recover soon. What we really need to worry about is Obama's symbiote.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.
