In just a few short months, the US war in Afghanistan will becomes the longest running war in American history. Some say it jumped the shark years ago, but I personally think it's still better than most other wars these days, even if it's not up to the same quality it was six or seven years ago. All I'm saying is, this McChrystal character seems like he could breath new life into it, and I still look forward to the Treehouse of Horror episode every year.

I work by myself at home, so you'd probably assume there wouldn't be much in the way of workplace romances going on around here. And you'd be right, though my coffee cup told me yesterday that he heard my microwave hooked up with my ottoman, but you didn't hear that from me. Meanwhile, it sounds like there's plenty of action going on around the Daily Show offices.

Earlier today, President Obama implored our nation's children to work hard in school so that they might one day be able to realize their dreams. That's kinda nice, huh?
Too bad he wasn't around to help inspire the Daily Show correspondents. Maybe they would have been able to do something with their lives and maybe get on television or something…
