Joe Scarborough
November 3 at 10:38AM
It's easy to call MSNBC's Joe Scarborough names. For example, here's just a few off the top of my head…
* Second string political pundit who couldn't hack it on Capitol Hill
* Disingenuous messenger for the Republican agenda, tempering his views with the political winds to create the false impression of objectivity; and, of course
* Lumpy
But none of those barbs can rob the man of his keen political insight. Offering views on the close New Jersey gubernatorial race, Scarborough writes…
"[T]he Democrats' turnout operation should keep this race tight all night. If the race is instead a blowout, that can only be bad news for the Democrats."
See? Some people couldn't offer that kind of insight. Y'know, people who have spent their entire adult life huffing heavy metal industrial isotopes.
So the next time you're tempted to stick it to old Joe, c'mon, show some respect.

On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart reported on the rash of ass-kissing emails sent to South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford by media outlets. Who knew Walter Cronkite would be rolling in his grave so soon after entering it?
After the jump, coverage of the story continues and Jon takes Brian Williams to task.
The Daily Show airs Monday through Thursday at 11pm / 10c.

The Texas congressperson says the current Pelosi scandal may be good for the country, in that it may slow down Democrats' efforts to convert the nation into a socialist state.
He also lays blame for our current financial mess at the feet of John Maynard Keynes and warns that the U.S. dollar may be experiencing its last fitful sussurations…
.
For all I know, Paul is right. I can't even pretend to have any idea what's going on with anything concerning economics.
As a matter of fact, until just now, I thought John Maynard Keynes was Steely Dan's rhythm guitarist on their Two Against Nature tour back in '00.

Thanks to NewsBusters for pointing us to this clip of the cast of Morning Joe laughing at Fox News' newest comedian/personality, Glenn Beck…
.
Unfortunately, MSNBC's clip cuts off before they get to the part where they compare Beck to Stephen Colbert…
Geist and Scarborough then briefly discussed whether the whole thing's an act, and that Beck is a parody of comedian Stephen Colbert's parody of a conservative talk show host.
It would be nice to image anyone could be that brilliant, wouldn't it?

CNBC's Mad Money host Jim Cramer and Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough are upset with Jon Stewart. Not just because he's been busy calling out Cramer and other NBC talking heads for their silly and/or embarrassing and/or stupid financial observations after their reporter Rick Santelli had a "Howard Beale moment" on the floor of the CME Group. Oh no. But because Cramer (and pretty much everyone who works at NBC) is a Democrat, and he's supposed to be on their side.
So, the appropriate response — at least as suggested by Joe Scarborough — is probably to follow Jon Stewart are around with a camera 24 hours a day and make fun of everything he does. Fair is fair, right?
.
Here's Cramer's self-defense op-ed.
Watch the latest offending clip from The Daily Show after the jump…
