Congress is taking a break for Thanksgiving, and as Jon Stewart pointed out on last night's Daily Show, it's bad news for everyone. After all, without Congress in session, who will warn us that the terrorists are going to kill us all, who will offer detailed plans for killing us all to the terrorists, and, perhaps most importantly, who will make the founders perpetually spin in their graves? That's where they get electricity for heaven, you know?

You love Lou Dobbs so much. He's your favorite, and you've been simply beside yourself since he abruptly left CNN. You've tried recreating the show at home using makeshift puppets, but the puppets were frankly too coherent for it to be believable. No, it seems only the man himself can fill the Lou Dobbs-shaped hole in your TV. Fortunately, he was on The Daily Show last night. And if that still didn't satisfying your Dobbsian hunger, we now have an extended and uncensored version of the interview.

Jon Stewart Interviews Vice President Joe Biden

Last night, Joe Biden made his first appearance on The Daily Show since being elected Vice President of these United States of A, and I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed. The interview lasted 14 minutes and there weren't any of the hilarious gaffes I've come to expect from the Veep. He didn't call Khalid Sheikh Mohammed "a pretty okay guy once you get to know him." He didn't accidentally blurt out missile codes. Hell, it didn't even look like his shoelaces were tied together. What a let down.

On last night's Daily Show, Jon Stewart covered the media brouhaha surrounding the upcoming trial of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, revealing Nancy Grace as the cause of boner cancer and counteracting the arguments of Rudy Giuliani with those of none other than Rudy Giuliani from 2006. Both Giulianis made such strong points, I think we need a third opinion. Maybe from 1997 cross-dressing Giuliani or 1999 paying-for-his-mistresses-security-detail-with-misappropriated-city-funds Giuliani.

Outgoing Obama Aide Dunn Lauds Jon Stewart and The Daily Show

Of course we think The Daily Show is the only trustworthy news-source in America, but we work for Comedy Central, so we're hardly objective. We also think South Park should have won the Nobel Prize for Economics, and Just Shoot Me reruns cure rickets. But it turns out we're not the only ones singing the praises of Jon Stewart and the Best Fucking News Team Ever.

At the recent Bloomberg Washington Summit, President Obama's outgoing Communications Director Anita Dunn continued the ridicules of Fox News that marked her time with the administration:

She criticized Fox for using edited footage of a rally to make it appear that opposition to the president’s health-care plan was bigger than it was.

“The people who exposed this: Jon Stewart of the Daily Show on Comedy Central… That’s where you are getting fact-checking and investigative journalism these days.”

When anchor Lou Dobbs abruptly left CNN this week, it dealt a huge blow to the cable news network. After all, Dobbs's prideful bigotry and paranoia has consistently provided a balance to CNN's trademark vapidness and ineptitude. How they will maintain that balance without Dobbs remains to be seen, but in the meantime Stephen Colbert has called dibs on Dobbs's followers.

Yesterday we told you that Sean Hannity had apologized to Jon Stewart and The Daily Show for misappropriating footage on his Fox News program. Now, we reported on it, but we didn't actually watch the show. That would be like sticking our head in a beehive for an hour because we wanted some honey. Well, Jon Stewart, yeoman that he is, stuck his head in that beehive, and lived to tell the tale. Barely.

Joe Biden? Who's that? I never heard of him. Sounds like a jerk to me. Oh, he's the first sitting Vice President to be a guest on The Daily Show? Vice President of what? Being a jerk? High five!

He's going to be making his sixth appearance on The Daily Show this Tuesday, November 17? Really? That's not so impressive. My cousin Randy's been on that show, like, twelve times. He has so. What do you know? You don't know nothin'.
