The Daily Show Nails Cable News Election Panels

POSTED BY: Matt Tobey

As you've now heard, in last night's two high-profile gubernatorial elections, the GOP candidates emerged victoriously in what was a clear referendum against President Obama. Meanwhile, in the closely-watched Congressional race in New York's 23rd District, voters elected a Democrat for the first time in over a century in what was a clear referendum against President Obama. Where did I acquire such keen political insight? Cable news, of course.

The Daily Show Correspondents on Riding Animals to Work

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

And you'd be right, though my coffee cup told me yesterday that he heard my microwave hooked up with my ottoman, but you didn't hear that from me. Meanwhile, it sounds like there's plenty of action going on around the Daily Show offices.

John Stossel Jumping on the Fox News Gravy Train

POSTED BY: Dennis DiClaudio

TV Newser has some interesting TV newsiness about everybody's second favorite mustachioed TV news guy: John "The Stash" Stossel is leaving ABC for Fox!

John Stossel, the longtime ABC News correspondent and co-anchor of "20/20," is leaving ABC to join Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. TVNewser has learned Stossel will host a weekly, one-hour program for the 2-year-old business channel.

He's expected to signed a multi-year deal with Fox which will include regular appearances on Fox News Channel during daytime and primetime. He'll also host four, hour-long specials on Fox News, much like the business/consumer specials he'd hosted for years on ABC.

Stossel's been a guest on The Daily Show twice to date, so, what the hell, let's take a trip down memory lane…
